This is MyWord, a tiny WYSIWYMG word-processor capable to output in PostScript.

Requirements:
At least X11R5 with Athena Widgets.
A good unix system, such as Linux, can save you hours of horror.

Why this name?
A friend of mine told me about two years ago, that he just got a unix
for free. I thought, he was kidding, but he wasn't. One month later
I only used DOS for playing and writing letters, and he, too.
One month later I only used DOS for a few games; my letter writing
was done in LaTeX. A year ago we discovered the joys of C++,
waiting for response of doc(1x). We also tried ez(1x). But, as I have
several fonts I use, it wasn't just that good.
Since then, I wanted to give this friend My Word, that he would get a
  nice, small word-processor.

When and why was it actually done?
There was some time to go till Christmas '94, when I was too lazy for
just too long, and as such quite bored. So I went back to the thought
of writing a word-processor, for two reasons. I wanted to write some
program and I wanted to learn some X11-Coding.
Half a month was used for puzzling about the data-structures. Then I
slowly began to build a small "kernel". A few weeks later I could
write text into a window without using gdb for input.
Then I found two very nice widgets: TextMenu(FWF) and SelFile(sra).
SelFile is not really a widget, but it is fast and nice.

Installing:
Up to now, there is no Imakefile. You have to modify local.mak to your
needs. The comments should help you.
Fonts are searched first in $HOME/Fonts, if that exists, and then in the
standard fontpath given in local.mak. If neither exists, MyWord complains
  about that and exits.
If you want to give MyWord to other persons, be sure to read the quite
  interesting Copyright-notices below.

Thanks
  to Frank Hofmann.
Without him I wouldn't have a Linux Box, but still play Losedows-Solitaire
  to Franz Scholz,
     For advice and good friendship
  to Christian Schindelin,
Without him I wouldn't have started to write programs.
to every human being that brightens the day by just being.
