This directory contains the sources that you need to rebuild all
binaries in the teTeX distribution.

WARINING: your input-tree (below $TETEXDIR/texmf) must already exist,
before you start to recompile tex/mf.

WARNING: The directory $TETEXDIR must contain a texmf.cnf file unless
you change the pathnames in kpathsea/paths.h.

WARNING: Unless you remove the !! from kpathsea/paths.h, your $TEXMF
directory needs to contain an up-to-date ls-R file.

	To create it, do

		ls -LR /path/to/your/texmf/ > /path/to/your/texmf/ls-R

WARNING: If you run make from a different than this top-level directory,
you need to export the TETEXDIR variable.

WARNING: I have made some changes to the original packages. I do not
know, whether the sources will compile under any other platform
than Linux. In fact, it is currently only tested for Linux.
If you run into trouble, bother me and *not* Karl Berry. If you
have found a bug that exists in the original package as well,
I will pass your bug report to the author of the package.

Where you might find useful information:
	kpse-2.4/xdvik/INSTALL
	kpse-2.4/web2c/INSTALL
	kpse-2.4/dvips/INSTALL
	kpse-2.4/dvilj/INSTALL
	kpse-2.4/kpathsea/kpathsea.{info,dvi}
	kpse-2.4/kpathsea/texmf.cnf.in
	kpse-2.4/kpathsea/paths.h

The file INSTALL gives you instructions, how to compile the sources.
